Our team built the brand-new Lily Pad Park entirely from the ground up, partnering with Howard Hughes to deliver a complete neighborhood amenity center and park. The goal was to provide local residents with a dedicated space to walk, play, and gather, which required our team to handle everything from underground civil works to the final architectural finishes.

Our scope on this ground-up build covered extensive landscape and hardscape installations across the entire site. On the green space side, we planted over 350 new trees, incorporating a mix of Mexican Sycamores, American Sycamores, Southern Magnolias, Live and Red Oaks, while also carefully relocating several existing native trees on-site. For the recreational areas, we installed basketball courts and custom-engineered play structures complete with integrated shade systems.

The architectural features of the park relied heavily on custom fabrication and premium finishes. The central metal pavilion was constructed as a fully custom gathering space, featuring specialized panels, a four-stage epoxy paint finish, and custom lighting supplied by a family-owned manufacturer. Inside the park facilities, we brought in high-end finishes, utilizing Thermory Ash wood detailing, custom Adobe tiles, and custom stone countertops.

Working through unexpected challenges, this project became a true testament to our team's ability to adapt and think outside. The original timeline was an aggressive 10 months, but we were pushed to 14 months on-site. Between severe weather and a highly custom design featuring untested material transitions, keeping the project aligned required non-stop communication and coordination. To counter the delays out of our control, we proactively added extra field personnel and project support to ensure the build met every standard.

Despite the weather and scheduling hurdles, we pushed through to deliver a highly customized, functional space that the community is actively using and enjoying.
