Bringing functional outdoor amenities to commercial corridors gives local communities a dedicated place to exercise, gather, and relax outdoors. Located in The Woodlands, Central Park at Research Forest Lakeside is a brand-new public park accessible to everyone in the surrounding area. Partnering with Toney Construction and Clark Condon, our team stepped in as the hardscape contractor to build out the primary pedestrian pathways, gathering zones, and active recreational areas for this recreational outdoor space.

Our scope on this project focused heavily on hardscapes and site infrastructure. Over a five-month timeline, our field crew installed all pedestrian concrete walkways, rolled curbs, gravel paving, and extensive paver layouts throughout the site. To balance the site with clean, low-maintenance green space, we installed artificial turf across the primary activity lawns. For water conservation across the park, our team also installed a dedicated water harvest pump and underground storage tank system connected to the irrigation system.

To make the park truly multi-use, we assembled and installed a wide variety of site amenities. We placed campus site furnishings, including benches, lounge chairs, trash receptacles, dining tables and chairs across the plazas. A standout feature of the park is the outdoor fitness area, where our team installed a complete outdoor exercise circuit featuring parallel bars, pull-up stations, push-up bars, dip benches, and suspension trainers.

Working on a wide-open site allowed our crew to execute the installation smoothly from start to finish without facing major site constraints. We are proud to have collaborated with Toney Construction and Clark Condon to deliver a durable, accessible public park that residents and local workers can enjoy every day.
