Kenny’s construction experience totals more than 15 years. His first job involved overseeing quality control on residential projects, ensuring contractors followed through on commitments. That experience set a deep desire in him to do construction and do it well. With the speed of work and constant adjusting, it was an industry he knew he’d never get bored with.
What started as a superintendent role at B&D Contractors soon turned into a project manager position. The combination of Kenny’s field experience with his aptitude for building client relationships led to a promotion to Business Development Manager in 2020.
As Business Development Manager, Kenny uses his passion for fostering new business to show prospects how to Think Outside from project onset, with the goal of creating long-lasting spaces that bring life to the outdoors.
What has been a career highlight or accomplishment that you're most proud of?
The first project I got under my belt [Anadarko water feature] was a pretty big highlight for me. I successfully got through it, and it’s still there, still standing!
What Does It Mean To You To Be A Solutionist?
To be a solutionist is to be able to help the collective team, whether it's my crew or the architect, be able to work through issues. Because we work in construction, there are always new issues to overcome. To me, I feel very accomplished when I'm able to provide a solution and allow the work to continue without delays.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
2026 World Cup. Not historical yet, but it’s something I’m looking forward to and can’t wait for my kids to see.

But when you dig a little further into it, the sub-textual meaning of what we’re trying to do is help general contractors, architects, etc. think outside of the box. With the help of everybody, we can think outside of a sheet of paper with plans on it.
