Del Webb is an age 55+ Active Adult community now building in Fulshear, Texas. A division of PulteGroup, the development specializes in creating lively retirement communities designed for active adults across the country, a haven for those seeking a “socially active lifestyle.” So it was important for the community’s amenities to match that energy.

Our team partnered with Burton Construction on this location to build out the hardscape and landscape scope for the new amenity center that would serve as a hub for residents, offering a wide variety of activities.

The space, which borders a large retention pond, required extensive foundation work. Subslab concrete was poured throughout the facility to add a solid base for pavers and walkways. A retaining wall, complete with custom veneer and precast stone caps, was erected to add height to the space. Ramps were installed across the site to make it accessible for everyone. For safety and style, our team added custom handrails and glass fencing around the pool and other key spots.

One of the highlights of the amenity center is a beautiful, expansive outdoor kitchen and patio area built for dining al fresco. The perfect place for hosting community events, the patio is dotted with pavilions for shade from the hot Texas sun. Beyond the patio lies the pool, lounge deck, and bocce ball courts. Festoon lighting adds a bit of panache to the area. To complete these outdoor areas, we also supplied and put in new site furnishings such as benches and garbage receptacles.

Beyond these features, our team installed all landscaping elements throughout the amenity center area. Highlights include irrigation, drainage, and trees, a variety of plants, which create a welcoming and unified look for the whole amenity center, so the community could enjoy their golden years with brand new amenities right next door.
